The reason for adding Grace Ashcroft:

​The game REG was originally a stealth horror game where Leon was the sole protagonist. However, the developers decided that the audience would not be happy seeing Leon portrayed as weak and fearful.

 

Resident Evil Requiem (RE9) is officially set for release on February 27, 2026. The game features the return of Leon S. Kennedy alongside a new protagonist, FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft. Set 30 years after the Raccoon City incident, the game merges classic survival horror with modern action, offering swappable first and third-person perspectives. Players will explore the mysteries of “Elpis” and face new terrors in a hauntingly familiar setting.
