Shift Up recently posted a location scout image on social media for their upcoming game, which is widely believed to be Stellar Blade II, the sequel to the 2024 post-apocalyptic fighting game.

The image shows a scene from Chongqing, China, a sprawling metropolis with over 32 million inhabitants in the game. The city appears deserted and dilapidated, yet retains some of its historical features.
The original Stellar Blade game, released on PlayStation 5 in 2024, captivated players with its unique combat and compelling storyline, despite controversy surrounding the explicit content of its protagonist, Eve. Nevertheless, the game was a major commercial success, especially after the successful PC version’s release the following year, with China accounting for approximately 58% of PC sales.
As of now, there is no official information about Stellar Blade II, but recent hints suggest that the game’s environments may be inspired by, or even entirely based on, Chongqing. More details are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
