Although the idea of summoning other characters to fight on your behalf is present in many games outside of Nintendo’s series, the company has patented a gameplay mechanic that allows the player to control a battle between a secondary character and an enemy.
This means that many games which allow tge player to summon a character to help in their bottle will not be allowed, only Pokemon and Nintendo gamea are allowed to do so.
Examples of games effected directly by this new patented would be:
Final Fantasy series, Elden Ring and Persona.
Nintendo is famously known for Pokemon game realising several versions since 1996 till date, with approximately 45 to 75 million players fanbase.
