A Boss Born from a Wish: Hollow Knight Silksong’s Tribute to a Fallen Fan

Hollow Knight Silksong developer honors one of its fans who passed away from cancer in 2018 by including him as a leader in the game.

The boy’s wish was to meet the Hollow Knight development team before he died of cancer. The development team met him and suggested that he design a boss that the player would face in Silksong, just like the one drawn. The game was released with this boss, but the boy died before he could see the boss in the game.

 

A sad end for a big fan, but surely an unforgettable gesture from the development team who saluted the unfortunate fan.
