At the Six Invitational 2025 in Boston, Ubisoft announced “Rainbow Six Siege X,” a significant evolution of the popular tactical shooter. Contrary to previous speculation about a sequel, Siege X is a comprehensive overhaul of the existing game.
Ubisoft has emphasized a focus on enhancing the gameplay experience through significant graphical and audio upgrades. The teaser trailer showcased exciting new features, such as helicopters and the ability to sprint while rappelling, hinting at a dynamic shift in gameplay mechanics.
To provide a deeper dive into these changes, Ubisoft has scheduled a dedicated “Rainbow Six Siege X Showcase” on March 13, 2025, at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET. Tickets for this event are available now, and it will be live-streamed on platforms like Twitch.
In the meantime, Rainbow Six Siege enters Year 10 Season 1, “Operation Prep Phase.” This season introduces a new operator, Rauora from New Zealand, and a new secondary weapon, the Reaper MK2 machine pistol.
Siege X marks a significant milestone for Rainbow Six Siege, setting the stage for the next decade of this iconic tactical shooter.
